Pump That Pigskin! won their final game of the regular season last night, 32-7. It was finally a game that everyone seemed to be hitting on all cylinders. Great catches and great stoppages on defense with tackles, blocked passes, and interceptions. Though their opponent, the Ball Burglars, played a physical game, the talent just wasn’t at the same level as PTP!. The Burglars came out of in the second half looking much stronger than they did in the first. A quick touchdown brought them one possession away from tying it up. But PTP! had solid drive after solid drive, running up the score in a way Bill Belichick would have been proud of. The final touchdown was the most memorable, with QB Mason Everett rocketing one in the end zone to hsi reliable target, C.J. Plack. The way the ball sailed through the air along with Plack’s airborne catch and ability to keep his feet in for the score, brought back memories of “The Catch” beween Joe Montana and Dwight Clark. Playoffs begin next week, but the schedule and seedings haven’t been released yet.
